This is the first St.
Patrick's Day pin design I
ever made about 32 years
ago and it has always
been my most popular St.
Patrick's pin.
After conditioning your
favorite clay, roll a sheet of
green to a thickness of
about 1/4 inch. I have made
the shamrock using a cookie
cutter.
St. Patrick's Day Pin Tutorial

If you don't have a shamrock cookie cutter, make it by rolling 6
teardrops of green clay, press them together to make 3 hearts, then
press the hearts together as shown in the picture at right. Smooth
out the seams, Add a stem at the bottom.
Make an indentation in
the middle of the
shamrock with your
finger and roll a beige
ball of clay and attach
for the head.
Roll a square of green
clay and attach for the
top of the hat.
Roll a green log and
press onto the hat for the
brim.
Roll 2 beige teardrop
shapes and attach for the
ears. Indent with your
needle tool or a knitting
needle. Roll a small beige
ball for the nose.
Roll a thin yellow rope and
attach for the hatband. Roll 2
orange teardrops and attach
with the points touching under
his chin. roll a small orange
ball and attach to middle of
the bow tie. Blush his cheeks
before baking.
The finished YOUTUBE pin
The eyes are seed beads and don't forget
to blush his cheeks before baking. I use
make-up blush that I purchase at any
department store or pharmacy make-up
aisle.
I hope you enjoy making these 2
Leprechaun pins. They are fun and
easy to make.
